Statement by Minister of Forestry on Transparancy in Forestry Sector

The Ministry of Forestry recognizes that improved transparency is important to improve through accountability and transparancy. At the National Dialogue on Forest Sector Transparency held on 27 February 2006 in Jakarta the Minister of Forestry made the following (unofficially translated) statement with regard to forestry operation transparency. To this extent the ministry has established a team for "The Arrangement of Transparency in the Forestry Sector" with the task to develop a disclosure policy plan.  Full text of the statement.
